The degree includes core courses to provide an exposure to a broad range of interdisciplinary topics in organizational leadership, analytical data interpretation, and interpersonal and professional communication. With key private, public, and industrial partners throughout the region, the MPS degree offers students a dynamic interdisciplinary learning approach, both in and out of the classroom, coupled with a final culminating experience in the student’ s area of study. The MPS approach builds a solid foundation for career mobility for the contemporary learner. The area of study focus is selected from two primary Certificates of Graduate Study (COGS): Administrative Science and First Responder Executive Leadership. Students may select either of these COGS as part of the MPS. The foundation of the program offers a curriculum designed to help students master competencies needed to be successful when applying these areas in the workplace.

Students can start the MPS degree at any point and complete any sequence of classes, the capstone is the last course and students must complete the prerequisites. Students are not required to complete the COGS first to enter the MPS degree.
