Program Information
Ranked as one of the top criminal justice schools by The Online Schools Report, Rowan University offers an online criminal justice masters that stands out in its ability to provide an excellent education for individuals seeking to impact criminal justice reform. Focused on both the past and present of the criminal justice system, students will complete the program with a well-rounded understanding of today's issues, and what research evidence tells us about the effectiveness of programs and policies aimed at preventing and controlling crime. Each class is taught by an experienced professor who understands what it takes to be successful in the profession.
Curriculum
The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Criminal Justice is a part-time program offered in an accelerated online format. It requires the completion of 30 graduate semester hours (10 courses) which are possible to complete in only 5 consecutive semesters.
Coursework
The following courses make up the M.A. in Criminal Justice Online program. Each course is scheduled in 8 week modules with each week of work starting every Tuesday at 8:00a.m. and ending every Monday at 11:59p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Admission Requirements

It is highly recommended applicants have successfully completed an introductory class in Criminal Justice, Research Methods, or Statistics at the undergraduate level at an accredited institution.
