GRE/GMAT Waiver

GRE/GMAT Waiver Criteria

MBA Applicants

Applicants to the Rohrer College of Business MBA program may have the GMAT/GRE test requirement waived if they meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Completion of any Rohrer College of Business Certificate of Graduate Study program with a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.5 or better
  2. Graduated from Rowan University, or an AACSB accredited business program, or a program which holds a well regarded discipline specific accreditation (e.g., ABET, CAEP) with:
    • A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.3 or higher; or,
    • A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher with at least 7 years of professional experience; OR,
    • At least 10 years of professional experience
  3. Holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  4. Inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma
  5. Earned a masters degree or higher, with a 3.0 GPA, from a program which holds a well regarded discipline specific accreditation (e.g., ABET, CAEP)
  6. Has completed the MCAT or LSAT or similar well regarded standardized exam and been accepted to an institution holding a well regarded discipline-specific accreditation (e.g., ABET, CAEP)

If you feel that you meet one of the criteria listed above and would like to request that the GMAT test requirement be waived, please contact the Enrollment Counselor indicating which criteria you meet. Supporting documentation will be required in order to verify that criteria are met before a waiver will be granted.

M.S. in Finance Applicants

Applicants to the Rohrer College of Business M.S. in Finance program may have the GMAT test requirement waived if they meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Completion of any three graduate level of Finance courses in the Rohrer College of Business with a cumulative GPA of 3.5
  2. Graduated from an AACSB accredited business program AND have:
    • A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.3; OR,
    • A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 with 7 years of professional experience*; OR,
    • 10 years of professional experience*
  3. Holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  4. Inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma
  5. Earned masters or higher, with a 3.0 GPA, from a program which holds discipline specific accreditation (e.g., ABET for Engineering/Technology, NCATE for Education)
  6. Completed the MCAT or LSAT and been accepted to an institution holding discipline-specific accreditation (e.g., ABET for Engineering/Technology, NCATE for Education)

*Professional experience will be evaluated by the MSF Admissions Committee.
