B.S. in Data Analytics
Program Information
This interdisciplinary program is designed to meet the high and rising demand for data analytics professionals in the region and beyond, and will equip its graduates with a strong background and skills in data collection, exploration, analysis, visualization, presentation and dissemination. Through a structured curriculum that provides skills-based knowledge, students will be able to pursue a wide range of data analytics positions in any industry, such as: data analysts, data-driven decision makers, functional analysts, data systems developers, business analysts and analytics managers.
The 3+1 BS in Data Analytics program is a partnership with Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) and Rowan College of Burlington County (RCBC). This degree program will be an option for students who complete one of three associate’s degrees at RCSJ (Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, and Business Administration) or one of three associate’s degrees (Computer Science, Business Administration, Computer Management Information Systems) at RCBC. Since there are multiple pathways into this program, the third-year courses, which will be taught by the county college partners, become the leveling year and therefore differ depending on what AS degree a student earns. As a 3+1 degree completion program, the BS in Data Analytics will be delivered through Rowan University’s Division of Global Learning and Partnerships, known as Rowan Global.
Rowan Global provides operational and administrative support for 3+1 programs that are in partnership with surrounding institutions, including Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) and Rowan College of Burlington County (RCBC). The program will be housed in the Department of Marketing and Business Information Systems within the Rohrer College of Business (RCB). The RCB holds accreditation from AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB); however, the BS in Data Analytics program will be exempt from AACSB accreditation.
The B.S. in Data Analytics is a full-time program offered at our Rowan College at South Jersey campus and hybrid format at our Glassboro, NJ campus. Enrolling into this program would require completing coursework at both our Rowan College at South Jersey and Glassboro campuses. It requires the completion of 120 semester hours.
