The Certificate of Graduate Study (COGS) in Digital Humanities offers graduate-level training in the use of digital technology to investigate, analyze, and communicate about important humanities questions. The certificate emphasizes professional development and experiential learning for MA students from a range of disciplines. After completing the foundational graduate course, students will gain firsthand experience working on a digital humanities project through an internship at the Center for Digital Humanities Research or another internship approved by the coordinator. Finally, students will carry out their own independent digital humanities capstone project under the guidance of a faculty member. Students are encouraged to work on projects that intersect with their other graduate course material.
