This certificate provides a professional development opportunity for currently licensed Registered Nurse who wants to learn about the scope and standards of holistic nursing and the applicability to current nursing practice. This certificate incorporates nursing theories, ethical considerations, and the philosophical foundation of what it means to holistically care for their patients and families using the principles of mind, body, and spirit. The four courses in this certificate program provide learners with a foundation of theoretical knowledge and resources as a preparation for the national holistic nursing certification exam as an option if they wished to sit for the examination.

The following is a list of items required to begin the application process for the program. There may be additional actions or materials required for admission to the program. Upon receipt of the materials below, a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation, or will indicate any missing items.

 

  • Completed Application Form
  • $65 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
  • Associate's degree or an equivalent number of transferable college credits
  • Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
  • Current professional resume
  • Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of NJ
    • Registered Nurses outside of New Jersey must have applied for licensure in the state of NJ
