The Certificate of Graduate Study (C.O.G.S.) in Integrated Marketing Communication (I.M.C.) and New Media is intended for current or future professionals (in any field) who strive to gain a deeper understating of social media and integrated communication and how they impact the workplace.

Students who complete the program will learn:

  • How the demand for greater accountability from marketing efforts has intensified and how new media has proliferated;
  • About the concept of integrated marketing communication and how it allows for companies to streamline and make more consistent their public message.

This program also provides those who are already working in the industry with up-to-the-minute professional development strategies and skills in the areas of new media.

The IMC & New Media COGS is a part-time program offered in an accelerated online format. It requires the completion of 9 graduate semester hours (three courses) which are possible to complete in only two to three consecutive semesters. The courses that make up the IMC & New Media COGS may also be applied towards Rowan University's M.A. in Strategic Communication program or the School Public Relations Certificate program.

Upon receipt of the materials below, a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation or will indicate any missing items.

  • Completed Application Form
  • $65 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
  • Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
  • Current professional resume
  • Writing sample

    • Brochures, flyers, professional statements, and other written and printed works are encouraged; as well as any other materials that have been professionally published.
  • Two letters of recommendation

    • Letters of recommendation should be from professional administrators and include information, which attests to applicant's ability to pursue a graduate degree
