Management Information Systems Certificate of Graduate Study
Program Overview
The Management of Information Systems Certificate of Graduate Study (C.O.G.S.) will enhance a student's preparedness to assume jobs in a world of rapidly changing technology by preparing them to develop business solutions through the use of information and technology resources. Students will be experienced in dealing with technological issues, understand the role of humans in developing technology-based solutions, and have demonstrated ability to manage technology-related projects. Students may also choose to begin earning their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) by first completing the Certificate of Graduate Study (C.O.G.S.) in Management Information Systems (M.I.S.) The certificate of graduate study is also ideal for those who have not yet taken the Graduate Management Admission Test (G.M.A.T.) as G.M.A.T. scores are not a requirement for admission to the certificate program. Students who wish to later pursue a Rohrer College of Business M.B.A. may have all C.O.G.S. credits transferred into the M.B.A. program.
The Management of Information Systems Certificate of Graduate Study (COGS) will enhance a student's preparedness to assume jobs in a world of rapidly changing technology by preparing them to develop business solutions through the use of information and technology resources. Students will be experienced in dealing with technological issues, understand the role of humans in developing technology-based solutions, and have demonstrated ability to manage technology-related projects. Students may also choose to begin earning their MBA by first completing the COGS in MIS. The certificate of graduate study is also ideal for those who have not yet taken the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) as GMAT scores are not a requirement for admission to the certificate program. Students who wish to later pursue a Rohrer College of Business MBA may have all COGS credits transferred into the MBA program.

- $65 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
- Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
- Current professional resume
- Typewritten statement of professional objectives
- Provide reasons for pursuing the program. Describe how you might use this program to advance your career (educational goals beyond the master's level, if applicable, are also relevant).
- Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
