M.S. in Medical Laboratory Science
Program Overview
The Master of Science (M.S.) in Medical Laboratory Science will provide advanced scientific, analytical, and administrative training preparing graduates for leadership careers in Medical Laboratory Science. Students who complete this degree will be well equipped for managerial positions in a variety of medical laboratory settings.
The program is designed both for students holding a science degree who wish to enter the field of Medical Laboratory Science, with aspirations of attaining leadership positions or for those already working in the field.
Most courses are offered online allowing working individuals to complete the program and it can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. The final one semester practicum requires a full-time, in-person commitment.
The M.S. in Medical Laboratory Science consists of 10 courses and a total of 32-36 graduate semester hours (S.H.). Students may enroll in this program part-time or full-time.

Transfer Credit Evaluation Policy
The Admissions Committee will review and define all acceptable course equivalencies and transfer credits, as well as all required remaining coursework, for each incoming transfer student.
The following is a list of items required to begin the application process for the program. There may be additional actions or materials required for admission to the program. Upon receipt of the materials below, a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation or will indicate any missing items.
- Completed Application Form
- $65 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
- Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning. Students not in the Medical Laboratory workforce should hold a B.A. or B.S. degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related fields.
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
- Current professional resume
- Typewritten statement of professional objectives
- One Letter of Recommendation. The official Recommendation Form is recommended.
- Recommended minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
Deadlines, Tuition and Financial Aid
