Supporting Mental Health & Social Emotional Development CUGS
Program Overview
The Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Supporting Mental Health and Social Emotional Development in Educational and Professional Settings supports the development of content knowledge for students pursuing any initial teaching/ educator certification program, other professionally related fields, and community stakeholders. This CUGS will fill the gap and knowledge for currently enrolled students in educator prep programs, and for those currently working in schools and agencies, while remaining current with educational and professional trends.
Students will learn knowledge and practices that closely examine how mental health and other diagnoses affect the academic and social development of all individuals. This CUGS aims to educate, provide awareness, and give specific academic and social emotional strategies that educators, families, and community professionals can implement to assist in helping all individuals succeed.
The Certificate of Undergraduate Study in Supporting Mental Health and Social Emotional Development in Educational and Professional Settings is a part-time program offered in an accelerated online format. It requires the completion of 12 undergraduate semester hours (4 courses).

Upon receipt of the materials below, a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation or will indicate any missing items.

- $65 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
- Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
- Current professional resume
- Typewritten statement of professional objectives
- Provide reasons for pursuing the program. Describe how you might use this program to advance your career (educational goals beyond the master's level, if applicable, are also relevant).
- Recommended minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
Deadlines, Tuition and Financial Aid
