The Certificate of Graduate Study (C.O.G.S.) introduces students to theory and practice of Urban and Regional Planning. Students will survey the discipline’s history and major theoretical advancements before achieving an in-depth understanding of environmental and community planning practices. Students will also learn the major regulatory frameworks operating in the State of New Jersey as well as nationally recognized ethical principles to guide a successful career in planning.

The Certificate of Graduate Study in Urban and Regional Planning is a full-time or part-time program offered in a face-to-face format on our Glassboro, NJ campus with some online offerings. It requires the completion of 9 graduate semester hours (3 courses).

  • Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
  • Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
